Rihanna has teamed up with famed jewel man Jacob The Jeweler and his Jacob & Co. brand to create a diamond-encrusted watch choker.
The Barbadian singer debuted the new piece during Pharrell Williams' first Louis Vuitton Fashion Show in Paris, France, earlier this week. According to a Jacob & Co. Instagram post of the watch choker, the piece of jewelry comes equipped with "a 47-mm white gold Brilliant Flying Tourbillon, set with a total of 368 diamonds that has been reconstructed to be worn as a choker."
The company also claimed Rihanna is the first person in history to wear a timepiece around their neck. Those looking to get their hands on the new watch choker will have to cough up a hefty $700,000, per the company's IG post.
"When Rihanna approached Jacob & Co, she had a vision to create a watch choker that would serve as a remarkable fashion statement for the highly anticipated Louis Vuitton fashion show," Jacob & Co. wrote in the caption for one of several posts highlighting the watch choker.
Rihanna is no stranger to showing off her jewelry collection that's dripping with ice. Last month, RiRi added a 9-carat toe ring crafted by XIV Karats, which features a pear-cut diamond and is worth an estimated $1 million.
Jewelry expert Maxwell Stone told Page Six the diamond is "believed to symbolize the empowerment and independence of the wearer," adding that the "nontraditional cut" is the "perfect choice for a global superstar like Rihanna."
Two weeks before Rihanna purchased the lavish toe ring, she commissioned Gabby Elan to make a grill for her to honor the late Wu-Tang member Ol' Dirty Bastard. Elan came through with an 18-carat diamond grill that reads "Dirt."
Elan told Complex the grill consisted of 425 diamonds and cost an insane $18,000. "She told us this was the best-fitting grill she's ever had," Elan shared. "So, I was very happy with that. It just gives me a bright future with her. Hopefully, we get to do a lot more exciting projects together."
