Mass Appeal Teases Albums From Nas and DJ Premier, Mobb Deep, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, and More

The label has a new series titled 'Legend Has It...' that celebrates and spotlights some of the most influential artists of all time.

Mass Appeal Records has just teased seven new albums from Nas and DJ Premier, Big L, Mobb Deep, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, and De La Soul.

On Wednesday, the label announced through a video teaser that several of hip-hop's most legendary artists will be dropping new projects as part of a series called Legend Has It... throughout the year. The teaser opens inside a factory where albums are made, and throughout the video, the names of the iconic NYC rappers pop up in various spots.

According to an official press release, Mass Appeal's new series is "dedicated to celebrating and spotlighting some of the most important and influential hip-hop artists of all time; trailblazers who've been instrumental in building and shaping the music and culture, and have taken it from the streets of New York City to the wider world, leaving an indelible mark on music."

Nas and DJ Premier are joining forces once again for a new album, while Ghostface Killah will be dropping the sequel to his critically acclaimed Supreme Clientele. Raekwon is adding a new entry to his beloved catalog titled Emperor's New Clothes.

Legend Has It will also honor the memory of the late Prodigy and Trugoy The Dove with the first Mobb Deep and De La Soul albums since their respective passing, plus a posthumous release from Big L. Most of these projects had already been teased in some capacity.

Nas and DJ Premier announced their collab album last year, while De La Soul's Maseo said AOI 3 would be on the way in 2023. Last February, Alchemist revealed he would be producing a new Mobb Deep album.
