Jelly Roll is still getting used to life after his dramatic transformation, but he's clearly enjoying the perks, especially after his wife Bunnie Xo publicly upgraded him to her newest "hall pass."

Speaking with Extra right after the live premiere of Netflix's revamped Star Search, the hitmaker touched on his recent 300-pound weight-loss milestone and the attention that came with it, including Bunnie's playful post that had fans cracking up.

"My wife put me on her Instagram allegedly as her hall pass," he said. "Said, 'Hey, alright.' The new hall pass, dude. This is big."

Jelly Roll's transformation hasn't just been physical; he says it's reshaped his entire life, from his confidence to how he shows up as a father and as a man.

"Every way… Spiritually, I've gotten closer to God. I've gotten closer to myself," he shared. "I'm a better father. I'm more present with my children."

He also says the biggest change is how much more he can do now, and how he's started stepping into roles he once never imagined were possible.

"I mean, I'm coaching my son's basketball team this year… I just feel physically better and I feel like I can physically do it."

Jelly Roll didn't sugarcoat what life looked like before the weight loss either, admitting that at his heaviest, even simple responsibilities felt out of reach.

"When you're 550 lbs.… you definitely don't think about trying to coach a team, you wonder if there's a bench you can sit on, you know?"

He continued, "For God to just even make that big of a difference to have the weigh off… literally the weight, 300 lbs. I'm a whole different human."

As for how he did it, Jelly credited discipline, therapy, and changing his relationship with food.

"Eating very, very vigilant with my food. I have a whole different relationship with food," he said, adding that he did "a lot of therapy" addressing long-term eating habits and fell in love with something he once couldn't stand, running.

"I love running," Jelly said before admitting it started as pure misery.

"I hate running, too," he confessed. "That's what made me start. Yeah, that's the story. I was like, 'What do I hate the most?' Because I was a dude who took the easy way out in life. Yeah. That's why I went to jail. I was just a scumbag human that always took the easy way."

He added, "So, I was like, 'What do I know I hate?' And I was like, 'Running. Let's get into running then.' And I, you know what I hate more than running was hills. So, I was like, 'We're going to run hills. That's what we're going to do, dude.' So, that's what we run, hills… And I love running hills."
