Eminem has compared his Slim Shady character to Ye when he acts erratically and has folks believe he should be on medication.
On the song "Bad One" off his new album, the Detroit rapper had a verse where he explained why his Slim Shady character is such a controversial person. According to Em, he compared his beloved character to Ye when he made several controversial statements over the last few years.
"Brain is dead, space cadet/Like when Ye forgets to take his meds/So when they get mad or angry at/A statement that I may have said/I just say, 'Man, I didn't say that shit, Shady did,'" he said.
In the late-2010s, Ye had people believe there was something wrong with him mentally when he began to display several erratic behaviors, such as going on long-winded rants during his concerts. It didn't take long for people to believe Ye needed some type of medication, and in 2016, Ye was hospitalized at UCLA Medical Center for psychiatric evaluation.
The Chicago rapper admitted to taking prescription drugs on the song "FML" off The Life of Pablo, where he claimed people haven't met anyone crazier than him when he doesn't take his medication.
"See, before I let you go/One last thing I need to let you know/You ain't never seen nothing crazier than/This n***a when he off his Lexapro," Ye raps.
Ye was also mentioned in the song "Renaissance," in which Em raps from the perspective of a hater and speaks on Ye's career and several other rappers, such as Kendrick Lamar and Lil Wayne.
"Now let's travel inside the mind of a hater/'Cause I don't see no fans, all I see's a bunch of complainers/'Kendrick's album was cool, but it didn't have any bangers/ Wayne's album or Ye's, couldn't tell you which one was lamer," Em raps.
