DJ Envy Defends Diddy Amid Sex Trafficking Case, Says People Shouldn’t ‘Convict’ Him ‘Before Hearing All of the Evidence’

The radio personality said he doesn't like how people are passing judgement before Diddy goes to trial.

DJ Envy has come to the defense of Diddy.

On an episode of his wife's podcast, The Casey Crew Show, Envy reflected on Diddy's sex trafficking and racketeering charges and admitted he doesn't find any malice in Diddy hosting sex parties or having a thousand bottles of baby oil at his disposal. According to Envy, Diddy just likes to get the party started.

"Diddy's a freaky n***a. Like, freaky, freaky, freaky. And there's nothing wrong with being a freaky person," said Envy. "So the fact that he has a thousand bottles of baby oil and lube just means he likes to get shit popping, and there's nothing illegal about that."

Envy also denounced the people who had passed judgment on Diddy before he even went to trial. He also had an issue with the judge who denied Diddy's bail while also mentioning other celebrities who had been accused of sexual assault.

"Everybody's gonna crack a joke, it is what it is. [But] I don't like how people convict him before hearing all of the evidence," he said. "I didn't like the fact that they didn't give him a bond. He was gonna put up $50 million — his house, his mom's house, he was giving up his passports."

Envy added, "The reason [I didn’t like that] is Diddy has three kids without a mom; Kim Porter passed away. He has two twins that are 17 years old that don’t have their dad right now and probably won’t have their dad for the next two years until the trial is over...I feel like he should’ve got a bond and been able to fight this outside. Harvey Weinstein had a bond, Bill Cosby had a bond, O.J. had a bond.In this society, it feels like you’re guilty andyou have to prove yourself to be innocent, but it should be the other way.I do think it’s sad that somebody with such a great legacy is destroyed because of the things that he did.”

Envy made sure to add that Diddy has to go to jail for a lengthy period of time if he is found guilty of the sex trafficking and racketeering charges. The radio personality isn't the only person who came to Diddy's defense lately as the mogul's mother, Janice Combs, shared some words recently about her son's situation.

“To bear witness what seems to be like a public lynching of my son before he has had the opportunity to prove his innocence is a pain too unbearable to put into words," she wrote in a statement. "Like every human being, my son deserves to have his day in court, to finally share his side, and to prove his innocence.”
