Diddy took some time while sitting in prison to give Ye a call and offer him some advice while also thanking him for being the one person who hadn't switched up on him.
On Monday, The Shade Room shared a clip of a leaked phone call between Diddy and Ye where the two spoke about being fathers, the entertainment industry, how "they" are out to get them, and more. At the start of the conversation, Diddy told Ye how he needs to get back into his creative mode and have fun with the music as things are getting too evil now.
"I need you out there you feel me," said Diddy on the call. "Have some fucking fun n***a. We not having no fun and get behind the mic, have some fun. Chop up them samples, and get back on your hitman vibe. Have some fun. Get back to smiling. Fuck these other motherfuckers. They are wasting your time."
He added, "Put that love in your heart, man, and enjoy yourself man. When I get out there, man, I want to see you fucking tear down the stadiums. I need to see you back on that stage, fucking actually rapping and performing and everything. I be dreaming of that shit."
Ye responded by saying he feels "in love" with the music again and that he was going through a frustrating time in the past. Diddy understood but told Ye he just needed to "jump in his bag" and be happy because there was enough time to "fight these motherfuckers."
Diddy continued to say that it's really sad that he's in jail, and he wants Ye to play him beats before his trial begins so he can be filled with some life. He also wanted to keep Ye's energy at a high frequency as he still has that "fucking freedom" and thanked him for looking out for his kids.
The call appeared to close out with Diddy thanking Ye for being on his side while everyone else he stood up for didn't even show him any kind of support. According to Diddy, he thought these people were his family, but that turned out to be false.
A portion of the call appeared on the song Kanye leaked over the weekend titled "Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine" featuring Diddy, his daughter North West, King Combs, and new Yeezy artist from Chicago, Jasmine Williams.
Ye revealed his willingness to go to "war" with his ex-wife Kim Kardashian over the trademark of their daughter North's name. He was planning on having North featured on "Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine," but Kim wasn't having it and contemplating asking a judge to strip Ye of joint custody. The tweet sharing the leaked song has since been deleted.
