Diddy's federal trial is finally over, and he has been found guilty of transportation to engage in prostitution, but not guilty of the more serious sex trafficking and racketeering charges.
The verdict sent shockwaves across social media, and the reactions have already poured in from people, including celebrities who have either had ties to the mogul and others who were just observers of the whole ordeal. Check out some of the reactions below.
Aubrey O'Day
The former Danity Kane member has spoken out against Diddy over the last several years, and nothing changed in her reaction when she shared a screenshot of the verdict with a simple caption that read, "wow."
Dawn Richard
Richard, another former member of Danity Kane, released a statement through her lawyer calling the verdict a "disappointment." Richard is suing Diddy for sexual assault and battery.
Boosie
Boosie shared a post on Instagram where he spoke about protecting Black men and explained that he wasn't on Diddy's side, but expressed concern for his children, who had to see their father go through this trial.
50 Cent
50 has never shied away from sharing his thoughts on Diddy, and his response to the verdict was no different. The Queens rap legend hopped on Instagram and shared an AI-generated image with a caption that read, "Diddy beat the feds that boy a bad man! beat the Rico he the Gay John Gotti."
Cassie
Cassie has yet to respond to the verdict publicly, but her lawyer issued a statement in which he said the case is an example where "change is overdue."
Funkmaster Flex
Flex called the case “a stretch and witch-hunt” in an initial reaction to the verdict on Instagram. In a subsequent update, he focused on Cassie, writing, in part, “Please don’t be mad at me but I don’t see u as a ‘victim.’”
Evan Rachel Wood
While Evan Rachel Wood didn’t mention Diddy or the case specifically, the impetus for the below statement was clear.
“There is no consent in a domestic violence relationship. Period,” Wood, who earlier this year spoke out in response to news of Marilyn Manson not facing charges in an alleged battery case, said on Instagram. “Once the threat of violence is there, you comply.”
Slim Thug
While Slim Thug didn’t offer much in his initial response, he did say this: “Damn. That’s crazy. Diddy beat the feds, is what the news is. Possibly 20 years? Oh damn. That’s crazy.”
