A$AP Rocky just let slip that he and Rihanna have a name ready for their third child.
In a new interview with GQ, the Harlem native accepted well-wishes and hinted at baby news without explicitly confirming. The outlet implied that Rihanna may have given birth to their new baby, and Rocky offered a quick "thanks for the congratulations" before hinting at baby number three being named after his Highest 2 Lowest co-star, Denzel Washington.
"Denzel, no matter what," said Rocky. "The first female [to] come out named Denzel, it's lit. We got it figured out."
The playful response comes just weeks after Denzel Washington himself spoke on the idea that Rocky would honor him in the delivery room during a joint interview with Spike Lee.
"I think Denzel's a beautiful name for a son," Washington said. Lee agreed with him and told Rocky, "You got to!"
Rocky has previously dropped subtle hints about expecting a girl. At the global premiere of Smurfs, Entertainment Tonight's Kevin Frazier asked if "that's the girl you've been waiting for?" The rapper smiled and replied, "It is, man. It is," before holding up a Smurfette plush doll and joking, "Right here."
Rocky and Rihanna currently share two sons, RZA and Riot, and a baby girl would mark a new chapter for the family. Elsewhere in his GQ interview, Rocky expressed how much "different" this pregnancy is compared to the other two.
"Nothing's ever the same," Rocky said "Each experience is always just different in its own right. And it's no different with this one."
Outside of fatherhood, the rapper is preparing to release his highly anticipated next album, Don't Be Dumb, while also launching his first collaboration with Moncler.
