50 Cent is weighing in on Usher's recent comments about Diddy and, true to form, he's doing it with humor.
Taking to Instagram, 50 reposted a headline highlighting Usher's lukewarm stance on the disgraced music mogul. "Usher like 😳 I don't want people to know what he did to my ass. I'm a grown man now my ass is off limits. LOL," he wrote in the caption.
Usher's original remarks came during a recent interview with Jabari Young for the Forbes series The Enterprise Zone, where he made it clear he doesn't harbor negative feelings toward Diddy despite the mogul's legal troubles. While acknowledging that no one is without flaws, Usher shifted the focus to recognize Diddy's impact on music and culture.
“In many ways, I think certain people are prosecuted and maybe not recognized for the greatness that they offer,” Usher said. “I don't have anything negative to say about Sean Combs because my experience was not what the world has seen and how he's been misrepresented.”
The R&B star reflected on his early connection with Diddy, who played a role in shaping his career during his teenage years. He described Diddy as a mentor figure and credited him with helping define a level of discipline and business acumen.
Meanwhile, 50 Cent's reaction fits into his long-standing reputation for trolling, with no subject being too controversial. But outside of the headlines and jokes, some of his peers paint a different, kinder picture of the rapper behind the scenes.
Mary J. Blige, who starred in 50 Cent's Power Book II: Ghost, recently spoke about their relationship during an appearance on Big Boy's Neighborhood. She described him as a supportive collaborator and "great boss," adding that he consistently looks out for his team by creating opportunities. Blige even joked about his loyalty, echoing the sentiment that many in his circle appreciate being on his good side.
