50 Cent Recalls Rap Dominance With Eminem Album Sales Comparison: 'Only Eminem Sold More'

50 Cent recently compared his album sales to Eminem, and the results had him boast that no one was better than him and Slim Shady in the early 2000s.

On Thursday, the G-Unit boss took to social media with a post showing a pair of charts that go over album sales and streams. In the first slide, the chart listed the top 10 albums with the highest first-week sales, and taking up the first three spots on the list were Eminem his projects The Marshall Mathers LP and The Eminem Show, with 1.78 million and 1.32 million first-week sales, respectively.

Coming right behind those two albums was 50 Cent's sophomore album, The Massacre, which sold 1.15 million. His debut album, Get Rich or Die Tryin' was included on the list at the No. 8. spot with 872,000 copies sold in its first week.

The second slide listed the most streamed rap albums from the 2000s, and again Eminem and 50 Cent hold down the top spots. Slim Shady's The Eminem Show was No. 1 with 5.7 billion streams, and in third was 50's Get Rich or Die Tryin', which had 3.7 billion streams. The Marshall Mathers LP, Encore, the 8 Mile soundtrack, Relapse, and The Massacre also take up various spots in the top 10, showing the duo's dominance with their music catalog.

50 Cent was signed to Eminem's Shady Records and Dr. Dre's Aftermath label. The signing would go on to make 50 one of the biggest rap stars since the genre's inception, and he crafted a legendary career for himself that includes over 30 million records sold, a Grammy, an Emmy, and so much more.
