50 Cent is taking his long-promised Shreveport vision to the next level.

G-Unit Film & Television Louisiana, LLC has announced plans to invest more than $124 million into a multi-phase initiative aimed at building up three major entertainment-related venues in Northwest Louisiana, a move that could significantly reshape downtown Shreveport's place in the film and live entertainment world.

According to a press release, the redevelopment plan will focus on revitalizing existing assets and returning underused facilities to commerce, while expanding the state's overall capacity to host film, television, digital media projects, and large-scale events.

An independent economic impact study commissioned by G-Unit claims the initiative could generate a staggering $18.8 billion in economic impact over the long term and support more than 6,000 jobs statewide, along with roughly $300 million in wages over the next 20 years.

Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry celebrated the announcement in a welcome video, framing the project as another sign of the region's growth and a reflection of his administration's push to create a more competitive business climate across the state.

The redevelopment will center around three sites in Shreveport. Plans include renovating the former Stageworks facility to support a mix of live event programming and production uses. G-Unit also intends to modernize the former Millennium Studios campus, upgrading it to boost production capabilities for future film and television work.

The third piece of the initiative includes the construction of a dome-style immersive venue along with a green space park, a combination designed to increase tourism and create a destination space for major entertainment experiences. In a statement, 50 described the project as the payoff of a commitment he previously made to the city and the state.

"This project is the realization of the long-term commitment I have made to the City of Shreveport and the State of Louisiana," 50 said. He added that the plan is meant to create jobs, bring new productions into the area, and inspire local momentum while giving entertainment companies a reason to set up roots in Northwest Louisiana.

50 also reiterated his larger goal of turning the region into a national hub for film, music and live events, ending with a slogan-like declaration: "All Roads Lead to Shreveport."

G-Unit Film & Television is wholly owned by Jacksonand has steadily increased its presence in the Shreveport-Bossier area as part of broader efforts to grow motion picture production and entertainment infrastructure in Louisiana.

Louisiana Economic Development (LED) also confirmed it has entered into a Cooperative Endeavor Agreement tied to the project, allowing for up to $50 million in performance-based funding for eligible infrastructure and modernization improvements across the three sites. The state emphasized that funding is tied to benchmarks including economic impact, delivery of infrastructure improvements, and engagement with local businesses.

To oversee the initiative and provide accountability for the state funding, the Shreveport Film & Entertainment Economic Development Corporation has been formed, with a board that includes LED Secretary Susan B. Bourgeois and several appointees from Louisiana state leadership.
