Watch Jack Harlow Rap Over Pharrell’s “Can I Have It Like That” in Funk Flex Freestyle

Hot off the release of his sophomore album, Jack Harlow returned to Hot 97 to drop a freestyle for Funkmaster Flex over Pharrell's "Can I Have It Like That."

Hot off the release of his sophomore album Come Home the Kids Miss You, Jack Harlow returned to Hot 97 to drop a three-minute freestyle for Funkmaster Flex over Pharrell’s Gwen Stefani-featuring 2015 single “Can I Have It Like That.”

Harlow rapped about his upcoming role in the White Men Can’t Jump reboot and dropped a bar promising he won’t send an apology text after he wins a Grammy, a reference to Macklemore’s text to Kendrick Lamar after winning Best Rap Album for The Heist in 2014.

“I’m the brand that the world wanna get involved with/When I get that Grammy I ain’t sending no apology text/I ain’t come here to be humble, Flex called me to flex/The time is now, you can finally stop calling me next/And I’m about to shoot a movie so I guess that I oughta be stressed, but I’m just too blessed,” Harlow rapped.

Jack has a lot of reasons to be feeling blessed. Come Home the Kids Miss You is a heavy contender for the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 and is expected to move around 110,000 to 135,000 album equivalent units. The Louisville rhymer also announced he’ll be hitting the road with City Girls in September for his Come Home the Kids Miss You Tour.

The rapper hit the Tonight Show stage on Monday night as well, where he performed his viral hit “First Class,” played “Virtual Reality Pictionary” alongside Rachel Brosnahan, and sat down for an interview with Jimmy Fallon. Harlow told the host he finds his recent success “validating.”

“I appreciate it, you know, it’s fragile to me and I know I worked for it,” the 24-year-old said. “I think don’t take it for granted at all because of that because I did everything bro.”
