Three years ago, Tyler, the Creator revealed the title of his third album: Wolf. The album, almost entirely produced by Tyler, finally drops next week.
He's come a long way from the days of Bastard, and even Goblin. His latest effort is filled with neo-jazz sounds, sparse rapping, and its themes are less about outrageous shock raps and more about an honest account of Tyler's rise to fame and affluence, with an overall sense of reflection on his career thus far.
As Tyler has stated, production is the core focus of Wolf, but not that much has changed—his rhymes are still, at times, appalling, or at the very least, interesting.
