On the heels of his film debut, Too Short has released a single titled “Still Mackin.”

The 58-year-old artist dropped the track earlier this week. “I thought you knew, I’m still rappin / Bitch, I’m still mackin,” he raps over a synth and base-heavy beat. “They say I got a foul mouth, I’m too controversial / I am who I am, no actin’ and no rehearsal.”

The song comes ahead of the release of Sir Too Short, Vol 1. (Freaky Tales), the Oakland rapper’s first studio release in five years. The album, produced by Ant Banks, will include features from Snoop Dogg, Larry June, and King George. It’s set to drop on Friday, April 18.

Earlier this month, Too Short-produced and narrated film Freaky Tales dropped in theaters. The action comedy, set in 1987 and inspired by Short’s song of the same name, stars Pedro Pascal, Ben Mendelsohn, Jay Ellis, and Normani for her acting debut.

Too Short also recently shared the mic with E-40 on Cousin Fik’s “Thangin,” produced by Bijan.
