A man seen throwing punches at a woman at a Rüfüs Du Sol concert in a viral video has been arrested on felony charges, according to reports.

The alleged aggressor, 23-year-old Julio Cesar Lopez Zavala, was arrested on Thursday (Aug. 21) and booked on three felony battery charges after the explosive brawl at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California, per TMZ.

A viral video posted via music outlet the Festive Owl showed a man repeatedly punching a woman in the face while others tried to restrain him and called him a “loser” and various swear words.

“Get him out of here!” one person yelled as others called for help.

“The investigation revealed that three victims were assaulted to varying degrees by a male suspect who reportedly became agitated after a drink was spilled,” the Pasadena Police Department said in a statement, according to the Los Angeles Times.

An alleged victim in the brawl, a woman who drove to the show from Phoenix, told music news outlet The Festive Owl that someone in her group accidentally spilled a drink but apologized immediately.

The man apparently yelled that the spill was intentional and left the area—but returned 30 minutes later threatening violence.

“This man punched me in the face, knocking me out and causing significant bleeding, while he continued attacking our group,” the woman told the Festive Owl. “Another friend tried to protect us, but the attacker fled into the crowd.”

In a statement on Instagram, Rüfüs Du Sol said the fight was “completely unacceptable.”

“We have been heartbroken to hear of the act of violence that took place during the opening act,” the Australian dance music group said. “The fact that this happened at one of our shows was devastating to learn about.”

Per the Los Angeles Times, concertgoers said the event was plagued by long lines to get into the stadium and overcrowding inside. KTLA reported that 90,000 people attended the show.
