Plaqueboymax is living up to his title as Complex’s second most powerful streamer in hip-hop with his new EP, which was recorded via his Twitch live stream In the Booth in one night.
The 10-minute EP, titled 5$tar Sessions: London, includes five tracks with features from U.K. artists Skepta, Lancey Foux, YT, and more.
During his feature on "1000 (spin again)," rapper YT name-dropped English adult film star Bonnie Blue, whose claim to fame is that she says she slept with over 1,000 men in one day.
"I got jeans on and they’re black, still my pockets blue / I just blew through a thousand like I’m Bonnie Blue,” YT rapped, as Max yelled, "Ayo, really?"
“Pause n***a, I ain’t Bonnie Blue," YT clarified. The clip of the moment got over 3 million views on TikTok in under 24 hours, according to Dazed.
Earlier this week, Will Smith joined Max's stream and got an education on Playboi Carti from the New Jersey native. After Smith said that he and his son, Jaden Smith, listen to Carti, Max put on “OBM Babi” from the ATL rapper's new album MUSIC.
“I like the rhythm,” said Smith, whose first new album in two decades is set to drop later this month. “I’m a lyricist. So, in a club, that would feel nice, where you’re just vibing.”
Smith also, of course, joined Max in the booth, though the actor doesn’t appear on the London edition of 5$tar Sessions.
