Chappell Roan bared it all on the red carpet ahead of the Grammys ceremony on Sunday (Feb. 1).

Roan, 27, wore a custom negligee dress and sheer cape for the 68th Annual Grammy Awards, drawing attention thanks to the garnet fabric hanging from the singer’s nipple rings.

The custom dress was designed by Miguel Castro Freitas and styled by Genesis Webb. Freitas this year reimagined a 1998 collection by the renowned Manfred Thierry Mugler, whose designs have been worn by celebrities from Madonna to Cardi B.

Roan herself is up for two Grammys, Best Pop Solo Performance and Record of the Year, for her track “Subway.” She earned six nominations at the 2025 Grammy Awards and took home Best New Artist.

During this year’s awards ceremony, Roan presented Best New Artist of 2026 to Olivia Dean, 26.

It could be a while before Roan is back onstage to accept an award of her own.

Last summer, Roan predicted it would take her “at least five” years to make her sophomore follow-up to The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess.
