It's no secret that Drake is head over heels for Houston. The Toronto-bred rapper has been obsessed with H-Town for at least a decade; around 2006, Drake linked up with Houston royalty Jas Prince, son of famed Rap-A-Lot Records founder J. Prince. Jas flew Drake to Houston to meet Lil Wayne and the rest is history. But that's not the point here. This is about Houston's own Beyoncé. Beyoncé and Drake. Drake and Beyoncé. The two have direct and indirect ties:

They collaborated on Beyoncé's "Mine" in 2014.

Which came a year after Drake put out one of his most beautiful loosies, "Girls Love Beyoncé," with James Fauntleroy.

So when Drake posted a photo to Instagram this week of himself in his studio, many were pleased to find a hidden gem that paid tribute to the Queen.

It didn't take the Bey Hive long to identify the picture on the left wall, even with the angle of the shot flattening the photo.

I mean, can you blame him? Bey's work ethic, output, longevity, dedication, passion, et fucking cetera are enough to inspire just about anyone to accomplish anything. Tbh, we should probably all follow suit and install our own Beyoncé portraits in our workspaces.

Earlier this week, Houston resident and early Drake supporter Bun B announced plans for a telethon, "Hand in Hand: A Benefit for Hurricane Relief." The charity event is set to feature some heavy hitters, including Beyoncé, Oprah, Jamie Foxx and Matthew McConaughey. According to TMZ, Drake will reportedly be joining the event as well, which could also include Justin Bieber. The live telethon will air on Sept. 12 at 8 p.m. EST on multiple networks.

Drake previously donated $200,000 to Houston Texans star J.J. Watt's hurricane relief fundraiser, which has raised nearly $30 million in less than two weeks. Beyoncé, on the other hand, launched BeyGOOD Houston, a collaborative donation initiative with local organizations Bread of Life and Greater Houston Community Foundation. Donations to BeyGOOD Houston will go toward long-term revitalization plans for Houston and the purchase of essential goods.

Drake - "Girls Love Beyonce (SBTRKT Edit)"

Where the fuck has SBTRKT BEEN? We haven't seen any new production from this phenom in close to a year, and this one makes us smile. He flipped the incredibly popular minimal R&B record from Drake and James Fauntleroy into an incredible new tune, flush with organic drums and floating melodies. I don't get why SBTRKT sells himself short by calling his remixes "edits," but perhaps that's another story for another day. This is an upbeat tune that will turn any crummy day around.
