Massachusetts Rapper Joyner Lucas Makes Powerful Statement With "I'm Not Racist" Video

Joyner Lucas squares off with a MAGA-loving Trump supporter in new video.

For those of you who only hear of Massachusetts' own Joyner Lucas when he's shooting darts at your favorite rappers, his new video "I'm Not Racist" might change all of that.

You see, one of the problems with the divide in our society is that the people on the opposing sides don't really take time to listen to each other. For many, you might see someone with a red "Make America Great Again" hat on and automatically disregard their opinion or words; the same could be said for someone who's turning up to Lil Uzi Vert. In an effort to hear both sides, Lucas' "I'm Not Racist" dedicates verses from the perspective of both sides.

In the video, a white man with a MAGA hat kicks a verse about what he sees as the issues with black people in America.

It gets deeper, bringing up everything from the age-old "I'm not racist, my sister's boyfriend is black" claims to thoughts on food stamps, building walls to keep Mexican people out of America, and much more. You've heard these claims before, but they are a bit different when you have to sit in front of someone and take it... especially when you know they will have to do the same, which is what happens when Joyner (speaking for black people) starts to spit.

The way Joyner constructed each verse is ill, with his second verse responding to each point in the first. They both even speak on Eminem's anti-Trump rhymes from his BET Hip Hop Awards Cypher performance back in October.
