Here's How Al Sharpton Really Feels About That Jay Z Shot on "Family Feud"

Rev. Al Sharpton has a surprising take on Jay Z's shots from "Family Feud."

On 4:44's "Family Feud," Jay Z took a quick shot aimed right at Rev. Al Sharpton and Bill Cosby that you might have missed in the sea of gospel singing.

The shot was in reference to the recent viral selfies that Al Sharpton took, which had the internet going nuts only a few weeks ago. Initially, Al Sharpton sent out a quick response via Twitter while chilling with Empire's Bryshere Y. Gray during the 2017 Essence Festival.

While some praised Sharpton's clapbackability, Sharpton was singing a different tune when the TMZ cameras were out. "For a 62-year-old man to go viral because he's on his way to work out, it's flattering. I'm giving a positive message, I'm telling the people, 'stay in shape no matter what the age.'"

When asked if he ever worked with Jay, Sharpton says he's a "big fan," and that he thanks Hov "for the plug."

"What did he say?," Sharpton continued. "He dogged out everybody, and then took a little shot at me. Hey, it's all fun. I love Jay Z." Later, he mentions that while Hov took shots at Kanye and Future, Sharpton liked the underside of what Hov said. "He's reinforcing people come to me for help. Jay Z's marched with us, he's a good man. Keep me in your raps, Jay Z."

As Sharpton mentioned to TMZ as well, this wasn't the first time Hov threw a shot at Al Sharpton and his "leadership" in the black community. Back in 2007, Jay dropped this gem on American Gangster's "Say Hello":

It looks like Sharpton's spin game is seasoned, but does this mean Hov will have further bars for Al in the future, just to further distance himself? Or will this be the end of the beef between Jay and the selfie-taking reverend?
