Watch Taylor Swift Perform "Ready for It" and "Call It What You Want" on 'SNL'

Taylor Swift performed selections from her latest album ‘Reputation’ on ‘SNL.’

Fresh off releasing her sixth studio album Reputation, Taylor Swift was the musical guest tonight on SNL. It isn’t the first time the pop star has been on the comedy sketch show, but it has been eight whole years since her last appearance when she was both the host and the musical star. Nevertheless, she’s grown up quite a bit since 2009, when she showed up with her trusty guitar and delivered her “Monologue Song”. What’s more, tonight’s appearance marks Swift’s first live, televised performance since releasing her album on Thursday.

Earlier this week, Swift shared some behind the scenes snaps of how rehearsals went, and she looked to be excited to be working closely with Tiffany Haddish, who she calls an “icon” and “the best host ever” in one of the clips.

After releasing a few highly produced and visually striking music videos, including for "Look What You Made Me Do" and "Ready For It", the anticipation for how the aesthetics of her new album—and the "New Taylor"—would be translating into live performances was high.

Swift kicked off her first performance with "Ready for It," featuring some fierce choreography. Her second song was "Call It What You Want," bringing a guitar for an intimate, moving performance. You can watch it above and below.
