Britney Spears fans can breathe a sigh of relief.

The 41-year-old pop star sparked concern Tuesday night after she deleted her verified Instagram without any notice. Though Spears has a history of deactivating her social media accounts, the latest move caused significant alarm among her fans, who became convinced Spears was in some kind of danger.

According to TMZ, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office was bombarded with phone calls demanding officers to conduct a welfare check at Spears’ home. Law enforcement reportedly arrived at the residence at around 11 p.m. Tuesday, and determined Spears was doing just fine.

“I can confirm that we did get calls into our dispatch, and essentially, I can confirm that we don’t believe that Britney Spears is in any kind of harm or any kind of danger,” a police spokesperson told Page Six.

The representative declined to provide further information, and did not say whether police had any direct contact with Spears during their visit.

“It’s just a privacy thing for the residents in our county,” the spokesperson explained. “It’s a public trust issue. We just don’t disclose those kinds of things [such as wellness checks]. It’s not a crime. We don’t really talk about any kind of mental health issues or anything like that. I can’t confirm or deny that deputies went to her house, but we don’t believe that Britney Spears is in any kind of harm or danger at this point.”

Spears deleted her Instagram less than two weeks after she had a so-called “meltdown” at a Woodland Hills restaurant. Sources claimed the “Baby One More Time” artist had become “manic” while out to dinner with her husband, Sam Asghari, who allegedly became so frustrated that he stormed out of the restaurant. However, Asghari quickly denied the reports and insisted he had left the table to get their car.

“People get a little bit too excited to see my wife, so everybody’s filming, everybody’s doing their thing,” he said, as reported by TMZ. “But you know how it is, fame comes with the territory and I went to get the car to get the hell out of there and people just thought I left. But that didn’t happen.”
