Gordo Unleashes Debut Album 'Diamante' With Two Drake-Assisted Tracks

The project also includes appearances by Young Dolph, Leon Bridges, T-Pain, and Maluma.

Gordo didn’t leave fans hanging.

Hours before he released his debut studio album Diamante, the Grammy-nominated producer teased an exciting addition to the project’s tracklist.

“I know this is pretty unrealistic but if this tweet gets 25k likes…I’ll add another Gordo x Drake song on my album…deal?” he wrote on X. Although the post failed to reach the goal, Gordo came through for his followers and capped the 16-track album with the Drizzy-assisted "Healing."

Drake, who enlisted Gordo for Honestly, Nevermind (2022) and For All the Dogs (2023), also appeared on Diamante's second track, “Sideways.” Gordo spoke about Drake in a recent interview with Vibe, claiming the Kendrick Lamar beef didn’t affect his decision to collaborate.

“I don’t give a fuck what people say,” Gordo told the outlet. “I already deal with my own problems with people talking shit about me all the time. So if you’re going to talk shit about me putting out a song with one of the greatest artists of our generation, okay. I guess if you think that’s actually funny, then I guess cool for you, but I don’t give a fuck. I’m going to do what I’m going to do. If you like it, you like it. If you don’t, you don’t.”

Diamante includes a diverse mix of featured artists, like T-Pain, Young Dolph, Maluma, Leon Bridges, Larry June, and Feid. Gordo acknowledges that the album's sound is pretty specific and may not appeal to everyone.

“If you like Latin music and you like dance music, this album is for you. If you like rap, listen and know about pop culture, know about American urban culture and you’re open [to] house music, then this album [is] for you,” he said. “If you’re a woman, automatically you’re going to like [it] because it’s really sweet for the ears. So those are the three people that this album meant [for]. If you’re closed-minded, you’re not going to like it, but if you are open-minded, you’re going to like it.”

You can listen to Diamante now on Apple Music, Spotify, and wherever you stream music.
