Fat Joe has made it clear that he has nothing but love for his former foe 50 Cent.

The Bronx-raised rapper spoke on the pair's friendship during his Thursday (January 8 )appearance on Sherri Shepherd’s eponymous talk show, more than 13 years after he and Fif squashed their lengthy beef.

Shepherd praised the rappers for making amends, and recalled the touching moment in which the G-Unit boss FaceTimed Joe’s 35-year-old son, Joey Jr., who was born with Down syndrome and later diagnosed with autism. Joe told the host that it was 50’s idea to call up Joey Jr. as they were watching a basketball game.

"50 asked for him! We were at the game, courtside," he recalled. "50 like, 'Yo, let me speak to Joey. Let me see Joey.' And Joey, you know, he’s nonverbal, he can’t walk, but Joey’s got his own phone. So, we hit him up… 50 Cent like, 'Yo, what’s up, Joey? What’s going on, man?' That’s really cool."

Sherri said she "loved" the exchange, which made her realize something unique about Joe.

"I thought about it, I said, 'You’re the only one I know, Fat Joe, that has successfully ended a beef with 50 Cent,'" she explained. "Nobody else! They either cry, 'Uncle!'... but nobody’s ever ended a beef."

Joe acknowledged it was rare for 50 to bury the hatchet with his ops, as the G-Unit boss is more likely to start feuds than resolve them.

"I’ve never seen this guy not have beef… every day!" Joe said with a laugh. "I think he’s got eight new beefs."

Sherri then congratulated Joe on his recent deal for Joe and Jada, his popular podcast co-hosted by his longtime friend Jadakisswho also once had beef with 50. The series is among the 15-plus iHeartRadio podcasts that are moving to Netflix in the upcoming weeks.

"We got the bag," Fat Joe said about the deal, which led Sherri to question if 50 would appear on the pod as a special guest.

"One million percent. 50 Cent is scheduled on the podcast. 50 Cent is family, you know what I mean?" Joe said, before referencing two of his other prominent rap beefs. "We just had Tony Yayo and Uncle Murda, like, they family with us. And thank God. We gotta show the youth that you can come together — that was a nasty beef — but you can come together afterwards and actually be grown men and show each other love. I got love for 50."

Joe and 50 began beefing in the early 2000s, over Joe’s perceived loyalty to Fif’s nemesis Ja Rule. Joe and 50 publicly reconciled during the 2012 BET Hip Hop Awards, where they honored their late manager Chris Lighty. 50 reflected on the past drama during a 2024 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, admitting his beef with Joe was a waste of time.

"There’s other guys like Jada[kiss], we cleared it up easier," 50 told the outlet. "But we wasted time because it was just the competitive nature. It wasn’t like we crossed paths and had real heat for each other. It went on more with Joe because he’s more like me; he's closer in character to me. When we’re at odds, we are at odds, and we did that for a long time.

"We didn’t even have no altercation or no specific thing that created it," he continued. "Now he’s like my friend, and I don’t care that he has relationships with people that I don’t, because he’s always had those relationships."
