of BoyWithUkeBoyWithUke has entered the comic book sphere.

On Thursday, August 15, the Korean-American singer unleashed the first edition of his self-titled comic book. The manga-styled comic depicts the singer as a masked revolutionary equipped with a magical ukelele. The series was a collaborative effort with Zero Zero Entertainment, Japanese artist MinoMiyabi, and comic writer Tres Dean.

According to a press release, the bi-monthly series is set in a monotonous dystopia where creativity is outlawed. To restore individuality and self-expression, BoyWithUke leads a guerrilla art collective to stand up against the tyrant Tobi. He also uses his ukelele to awaken his community “from their controlled slumber.”

“The BoyWithUke comic book is such a fun project to be a part of,” BoyWithUke said. “The artists involved are so talented and cool to work with. Overall, I’m super excited to see what people think of this first edition.”

You can purchase Dreamscapes issue No. 1 at UkeMyths.com. The $24.99 bundle will come with two art prints: one 10x7 and the other 7x7.

The comic book series arrives as BoyWithUke prepares to release his fifth studio album, Burnout, which is set to drop on November 8. The effort is expected to include the previously heard cuts, “Ghost” and “Can You Feel It?”
