Young Thug Appears to Shut Down Making Peace With Gunna: 'We Just Go Our Own Ways'

"I'm not gonna be able to look at you the same, no matter what," Thug said of Gunna.

Young Thug does not foresee himself and Gunna reconciling anytime soon.

When asked about the possibility of resolving his differences with the former YSL Records artist on the It's Up There podcast, Thug admitted he will never look at him the same way after what transpired following their arrest on a RICO charge.

"I'm not gonna be able to look at you the same, no matter what," Thug said at the 19:50 mark of the video above. "We can go get a trillion dollars together. I'm still not gonna be able to look at you the way I looked at you before we went to jail."

Thug continued, saying he loves Gunna "to death," adding, "I know you love me. We love each other to death. And we just going our own ways," he continued. "You know how shit goes. Sometimes, you just do that."

Thug also said he would never "be able to look" at Gunna in the same way as he once did because he would "feel like a fake n***a just having you around me because… I already look at you a certain type of way. And I got a right to. For the sake of your heart and your mind and the thought process you having now, go get your money, man, take care of your family and do what you need to do.”

Seven months after turning himself in, Gunna was released from jail after taking an Alford plea. As part of his deal, the Atlanta rapper pleaded guilty to a racketeering conspiracy charge while also maintaining his innocence.

"While I have agreed to always be truthful, I want to make it perfectly clear that I have NOT made any statements, have NOT been interviewed, have NOT cooperated, have NOT agreed to testify or be a witness for or against any party in the case and have absolutely NO intention of being involved in the trial process in any way," Gunna said in a statement following his release.

He continued, "I have chosen to end my own RICO case with an Alford plea and end my personal ordeal by publicly acknowledging my association with YSL. An Alford plea in my case is the entry of a guilty plea to the one charge against me, which is in my best interest, while at the same time maintaining my innocence toward the same charge."

In an interview with GQ earlier this year, Thug responded, "I don't know," when asked about the status of his relationship with Gunna.
