Drew Barrymore Makes Cameo in SZA's New Video

SZA shares her new video for "Drew Barrymore."

On Tuesday, SZA shared the visuals for "Drew Barrymore," the first song she released from her long-awaited debut album Ctrl. Back in November, the 26-year-old singer described the track as “brown grunge” in an interview with Complex. Now we get a glimpse into what she meant by that term through the music video directed by Dave Meyers, who also worked on "Humble" from her Top Dawg Entertainment labelmate Kendrick Lamar.

The video features SZA and her friends as they roam the streets of New York City while making various pit stops along the way. At the 2:10 mark, the St. Louis, Missouri native is seen sitting at the top of a flight of stairs on the wintry night singing the bridge when Drew Barrymore appears walking up the steps, cracking a smile while making eye contact with SZA. It's a brief cameo that people were happy to see come to fruition.
