Snoop Dogg served as the special Celebrity Guest of Honor for Saturday's "Hockey Night in L.A." game between the Pittsburgh Penguins and Los Angeles Kings at the Staples Center. In addition to dropping the pre-game ceremonial puck, Snoop was expected to handle in-arena DJ duties.

Snoop's greatest contribution that night, however, came when he was tasked with providing some color commentary during the first period, which included a near-fight that got him excited to some punches exchanged.

Snoop was also given uninterrupted coverage of the Kings' first-period power play, and it made us wonder if he would be interested in covering more games in the future.

After the Kings' 5-2 victory over the Penguins, Snoop spoke with reporters about the overall experience, confessing that he believes he could have a future as a hockey analyst.

If Snoop wants to give this hockey analyst thing a try, we will definitely tune in.
