Joe Budden Says He Feels Diddy 'Didn't Get Enough Time' in Prison After Watching Netflix Doc

A spokesperson for Sean Combs has called the docuseries "a shameful hit piece."

Joe Budden believes Sean "Diddy" Combs deserves more time behind bars after binging the Netflix documentary Sean Combs: The Reckoning.

Budden admitted on The Joe Budden Podcast that he was "absolutely pissed" with Combs by the second episode of the Alexandria Stapleton-directed docuseries. "It basically blames Puff for Biggie and Pac," he said at the 2:05 mark. "This piece takes a lot of the reasonable doubt away. They do a good job of laying it at his feet."

The second episode "What Goes Down Must Come Up" raises questions about Combs possibly igniting the East Coast-West Coast rap feud that culminated in the murders of The Notorious B.I.G. and 2Pac.

Budden applauded Sean Combs: The Reckoning for laying out a timeline of events that presents Combs in a negative light. "I was saying, 'Fuck him,' by episode two," he said.

By the time he finished watching the docuseries, Budden said, "It did make you feel, like, at the end, he didn’t get enough time."

Combs was sentenced in October to 50 months in prison, with time served, after being found guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. The Bad Boy Records founder was acquitted on sex trafficking and racketeering charges.

Since he was only one on the podcast who viewed the documentary when the episode was recorded, Budden was unable to get into a significant discussion. Budden thought the docuseries presented a number of instances where you could find Combs guilty of something.

"They showed too much shit to where it’s, like, if you don’t believe this, or if this didn’t do it for you, or if this didn’t do it for you, it’s like certain shit is too consistent in the story that they tell," he said.
