Doja Cat was overcome with emotion while on Instagram Live, speaking about her cancelled Primavera Sound set in Barcelona due to “adverse weather.”

Doja was scheduled to perform on Thursday (June 4) until the festival just announced her set, along with Massive Attack and Bad Gyal’s, were canceled because “adverse weather and technical conditions made it impossible” for those performances to take place on their planned stages.

“The weather was not gonna get any better. I didn’t know that,” she said. “I don’t think anybody really, truly knew how bad it was gonna get, but it got bad. And it got bad on the wrong day.”

Doja started getting emotional because she seemed to believe that her fans were disappointed with her over the cancellation.

“I really wanted to see you guys tonight and I love you so much. I do,” she said. “Regardless of whatever you fuck…whatever the fuck has happened. But I do love you.”

The Vie artist continued, “I’m absolutely crushed, and torn to pieces about the whole thing.”

While overcome with emotion, she vowed to return to the Primavera Sound stage soon.

“I really wanted to give you a great show tonight,” she said. “I will be back, and I’m gonna come back with a fire that you’ve never seen. And I’m gonna come back with my heart as big as it can be.”

Doja appeared on Instagram Live in full makeup and costume, confirming a post on X in which the Grammy winner said she was “fully dressed and ready to go to stage” when the cancellation was announced.
