Sean "Diddy" Combs has been denied his request to be released on bail for a third time on Wednesday. According to the ruling, obtained by reporter Meghann Cuniff, Judge Arun Subramanian wrote that "no condition or combination of conditions will reasonably assure the safety of the community."
Subramanian sided with prosecutor Christy Slavik's argument that Combs cannot be trusted to abide by the most extreme restrictions, based on his previous Bureau of Prisons rules violations, which included conducting three-way phone calls and using the phone access code of other inmates.
According to ABC News, Subramanian also mentioned "evidence supporting a serious risk of witness tampering" contributed to his decision. Combs has been accused of sending text messages to a witness, an escort who received a grand jury subpoena due to their alleged participation in several "freak-offs."
Diddy's legal team previously denied any interference in the grand jury process.
Prosecutors also claimed Diddy's children organized a social media campaign in an effort to "influence the jury pool."
Subramanian determined "there is compelling evidence of Combs's propensity for violence," citing the 2016 surveillance video of Diddy attacking Cassie Ventura.
"Given the nature of the allegations in this case and the information provided by the government, the Court doubts the sufficiency of any conditions that place trust in Combs and individuals in his employ—like a private security detail—to follow those conditions," Subramanian wrote.
