6ix9ine Jokingly Suggests Sending Demi Lovato Drugs to ‘Make Her Relapse’

When Demi relapsed in 2018, she suffered a near-fatal overdose

6ix9ine joked in a recent interview that Demi Lovato will relapse, and even suggested sending her drugs in order to make it happen.

While speaking with Andie Elle on her podcast, 6ix9ine initially seemed to claim that Miranda Cosgrove, who played Carly Shay on the Nickelodeon show iCarly, was doing cocaine before clarifying that he was talking about Demi. When Elle brought up the singer's sobriety, the rapper fired back at the 44:25 mark, "She's gonna relapse."

"Let's send her a gift," 6ix9ine continued. "Let’s send her some [censored], make her relapse."

6ix9ine later told TMZ that his remark was an attempt at dark humor. "Dark humor is going extinct," he said, adding, "People in this generation are just overly sensitive."

Following her near-fatal overdose in 2018, Lovato revealed in the docuseries Dancing With the Devil that she suffered three strokes, sustained brain damage, and had a heart attack.

"I actually don't think people realize how bad it actually was," she said. "I had three strokes. I had a heart attack. I suffered brain damage from the strokes. I can't drive anymore, and I have blind spots in my vision."

Demi added, "I also had pneumonia 'cause I asphyxiated, and multiple organ failure."

Lovato said she started experimenting with harder drugs, such as crack and heroin, when she relapsed, prior to her overdose. The singer admitted she is "really lucky to be alive," saying, "My doctors said that I had five to 10 more minutes, and had my assistant not come in, I wouldn’t be here today."

Demi has not bothered to address 6ix9ine's remarks, as of this writing.
