Rapper 320Popout was shot to death outside of the Shore House Apartments in Jacksonville Monday night, First Coast News reports.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said they received a 911 call around 11:15 p.m. and arrived at the scene to discover 320Popout was shot “in or nearby” his SUV at the apartment complex. CPR was performed until an ambulance arrived, but he was pronounced dead at the hospital. He was 21.
His cousin Roderick Holmes told First Coast News that 320Popout, born Joshua Holmes, had been performing under the name in the Jacksonville area prior to his death.
An eyewitness said she heard banging and a call for help around the time the 911 call was made. Authorities are still in the process of gathering information related to the incident. It was reported on Monday that Shore House Apartments was contacted to obtain their surveillance footage, but they were still waiting for a response.
As of this writing, police have yet identified a suspect or determined a motive for the shooting.
