TMZ has learned of a lawsuit filed against 2 Chainz, YG, and Offset over their 2018 collab "Proud" by someone who claims to have released a song with the same title featuring similar elements three years earlier.

Solomon Clanton, who goes by the stage name Slugga, argues that his version of "Proud" includes the hook, "I'm just tryin' to make my mama proud," which is also used by 2 Chainz on his song. Clanton also claims that both tracks have similarities in their spoken-word intros, call-and-response technique in the lyrics, and 2/4 time signature of two beats per measure.

2 Chainz used his song "Proud" as an homage to the mothers of the world, and further expanded on that sentiment by including his mom in the music video that he co-directed with Howard Ross. All three artists' moms were featured in the video, dressed as their famous sons, and rapping along to their lyrics.

Listen to Slugga's "Proud" below.

Now compare it to "Proud" from 2 Chainz, YG, and Offset.

Clanton is demanding that he receives the money made from 2 Chainz's song. He also wants a judge to prohibit the trio's version of "Proud" from being played going forward.
