Top Dawg Entertainment CEO Anthony "Top Dawg" Tiffith has revealed a mystery artist on the label dropped a project this past year.
"i dropped 6 albums this yr. John Doe 1 n 2 both dropped," he said. "@skiiiwalker was 1 of them. do you know who the other 1 is ?"
If you remember, Tiffith posted a photo of a whiteboard at the beginning of the year to alert fans of what they could expect from TDE in 2016. The board listed out every artist on the label and the progress of their next project. Not all of those albums were released—we're still waiting on SZA and Jay Rock's next projects—but Tiffith also hinted at the label's new artists with the names "John Doe 1" and "John Doe 2." We now know that Lance Skiiiwalker was one of the John Doe's he was referring to, but we are still in the dark about who that second artist is.
Thankfully, TDE fans won't have to guess forever who that artist might be as Tiffith added, "I will reveal in 2017."
Looks like we have one more big reason to look forward to in 2017.
