It's undoubtedly been the year of Taylor Swift with 1989's record-breaking success and subsequent world tour full of surprise guests. There have also been a few very public bumps in the road like the time she lashed out at Nicki Minaj on Twitter (and later apologized before making very public amends with a surprise performance at this year's MTV VMA's). Or when her latest music video for "Wildest Dreams" came under attack for glorifying colonialism. Now, Taylor is reflecting on her 1989 year in the new cover story for NME.
Swift didn't want to talk about her feud with Nicki but admitted that she did learn a valuable lesson.
The interview also dives into Taylor's new friendship with Kanye West as well as their mutual admiration for Beck. If you don't remember, Kanye went on to make some pretty harsh comments about Beck after his GRAMMY win.
