An Atlanta man was recently arrested for singing Beyoncé lyrics really loudly in a public area, and now, police have released a statement about the incident. Last week, video surfaced online, showing the man being handcuffed in Atlanta's Lenox Square mall while singing the "Formation" lyrics, "When he fuck me good I take his ass to Red Lobster, cause I slay."

"The subject in the video seen singing loudly was detained briefly to avoid any further disturbances," a spokesperson for the Atlanta Police Department told Complex. "Once he was relocated to the security office, he advised that he was a psychiatric patient and had not taken his medication."

According to the statement, the man was asked if he wanted medical attention, but "he advised that he did not and was very appreciative." There were no charges filed, though security at Lenox Mall issued the man a trespassing warning.

Last week, police protested Beyoncé's performance in her hometown of Houston, Texas. The police, who are also members of a group called the Coalition of Police and Sheriffs (COPS), stood a mile away from NRG Stadium where Beyoncé was performing, and shone a blue light towards the venue in silent protest against the singer. "Some of her performances we believe to be anti-police," COPS member Tony Ragsdale told the media.
