Erykah Badu Had the Perfect Response When Asked About Her Beef With Iggy Azalea

UPDATE 12/9/15: Iggy Azalea isn't letting this one go. Following a hilariously on point apology from Erykah Badu, Azalea fired back with a kinda passive aggressive tweet, writing, "Tell the kids I'm a big fan of mom," and, "There is officially an open invitation extended to them and friends with good report cards to come and enjoy a show [of mine] anytime."

Erykah Badu has been everywhere lately, from The Breakfast Club to the Complex office to talk about her newest mixtape, But You Cain't Use My Phone. She also hosted the Soul Train Awards, where she fired a shot directly to rapper Iggy Azalea, as she pretended to say to Iggy over the phone that what she's doing "is definitely not rap.” Recently, Iggy responded to the diss on Twitter before Badu hilariously shut it down once again.

Today, Erykah took to Twitter for a Q&A to answer fans' questions directly. In addition to dropping gems of advice like "We have to go through the fire just like any other diamond" and telling her kids to "make good choices," Badu also responded to a fans' question about Iggy Azalea. "[Why] you do [Iggy] like that," one fan asked. Badu responded saying "I want to do this for my daughters. I want to apologize to Iggy Azalea because she's one of their favorite artists. And they listen to her all the time. And, it's for them," she began. "When I really think about it... I mean, if y'all love her so much, why don't you go be with her then?" The legit perfect response.
