Aretha Franklin Brought President Obama to Tears With Her Carole King Tribute

Because no one can deny Aretha's power.

Last night, the 38th Annual Kennedy Center Honors aired following its Dec. 6 ceremony in Washington, D.C. where Aretha Franklin, Janelle MonáeMiranda Lambert, and more paid tribute to honoree Carole King with moving performances.

Of course, it was Aretha's rendition of her 1967 single "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman" co-written by King that brought everyone, including President Barack Obama, to tears. King herself seemed awe-struck by the performance as Aretha executed it flawlessly. Aretha even had the audience up on their feet in an uproar applause before she hit the final note. Watch the powerful performance above.
