Taylor Swift has reportedly chosen her wedding venue, but it's not without controversy.
Sources told Page Six that Swift may get married on June 13 at the Ocean House in Westerly, Rhode Island. However, the singer hasn't confirmed that report. Her Watch Hill mansion has been mentioned as another possible venue for the nuptials.
What is the Ocean House?
"Perched high on the bluffs of Watch Hill, Rhode Island, Ocean House is an iconic New England seaside resort, and the first and only AAA Five Diamond and Forbes Five-Star hotel in the state," the venue says on its website.
"Ocean House’s Ocean & Harvest Spa and COAST fine dining restaurant are also Forbes Five-Star rated, making Ocean House one of only fourteen Five-Star resorts in the world to hold this honor." Room prices range from $660 a night to $10,000, according to Page Six.
However, Page Six alleged that Swift bought the venue date for another couple's wedding. She was adamant about getting married on June 13, the site alleged, as she "was born on December 13, making June 13 her half-birthday."
However, the venue says that's not true.
Stephanie Leavitt, Area Director of Sales & Marketing for Ocean House, told TMZ that the venue would never let anyone purchase the wedding date of someone else, even if it's a celebrity like Swift.
"When clients and their families choose Ocean House as their wedding venue, it is an agreement and commitment between our team and that family. Ocean House would not and is not allowing another party or entity to buy a wedding group out of a contracted wedding date," she told TMZ, but she wouldn't confirm whether Swift was actually getting married at the Ocean House on June 13.
The Ocean House venue has a page devoted to planning a wedding at the establishment. "Your wedding day will be a testament to your love brought to life with our stunning panoramic ocean views, the quaint seaside setting of the Rhode Island wedding venue, and the hotel’s refined Victorian-inspired property and plush interiors," it reads.
"A wedding at the Ocean House is more than a walk down the aisle and an exchange of vows. The Ocean House is the perfect luxury wedding destination, where you can make your wedding a weekend-long event forging long-lasting memories for you and your guests."
