Adele's new album has taken over the charts in historical fashion: first there was the most albums sold in a single week record, and then there was the record-breaking second week with another million units pushed. But now Adele is being accused with plagiarizing the music of late Kurdish singer Ahmet Kaya on 25'"Million Years Ago."

As Billboard reports, gripes over the similarity between Adele's "Million Years Ago" and Kaya's song titled "Acilar Tutunmak," a track released in 1985, popped up on Twitter this week. According to the site, Kaya's wife Gülten Kaya even chimed in, offering the gracious stance that Adele probably didn't steal the song maliciously before adding, "However, if she consciously did it, then it would be theft."
