Brixton singer-songwriter Tanika is back with her new single, “Finally Found Love”, a slow-burning gem built for peak summer featuring Frisco.
“Finally Found Love” has summer written all over it. Tanika’s level-a-building, soulful vocals are show-stopping every time, but the balance of Frisco’s slow-and-low bars and the crispy garage beat peppered with joyous piano riffs make this one built for the heat.
The video keys into that perfectly. Keeping it simple and to the point, it follows Tanika through the otherwise grey London streets, later joined by Frisco, belting out the track and bringing some much-needed colour to the concrete.
Over a decade in the game, Tanika’s lived more than a few lives. A brief break in the mid 2010s when she turned her hand to acting couldn’t keep her away. She returned with the 333 EP in 2023, and then made sure we knew it was for good with a killer run of singles last year.
“Finally Found Love” has her playing for keeps and with any luck, this summer burner won’t be the last we hear of her this year.
