Will Smith revisited his last times speaking with late artists The Notorious B.I.G. and Prince.
It was towards the end of his conversation with Justin Richmond on Broken Record Podcast that the Academy Award winner opened up about his last conversations with Biggie and Prince, the former being his first time meeting the Brooklyn rapper.
Richmond asked Smith about meeting Biggie shortly before his 1997 murder, which the actor confirmed. "The night he got killed," Smith said.
He continued, "I don't even want to say this out loud 'cause it's like a terrible jinx–I met Biggie four hours before he got killed, and I talked to Prince eight hours before he died."
The revelation was mind-boggling to Richmond while Smith explained that Prince called him to pitch a business company between himself, Jay-Z, and Smith.
"He had talked to Jay and he wanted to do it. And we talked that night, and in the in the morning, he was gone," Smith shared. "I don't know what that says about me."
Smith jokingly warned, "Don't call me, don't call me," before detailing his meetup with Biggie.
"The Biggie one made me cry," Smith confessed. "'Cause it was stupid and just centered on hip-hop–for rapping. That one hurt me. It scared me, too."
Smith refused to go any further about the topic, but two years after Biggie's death, the actor introduced the rapper's mother, Voletta Wallace, and Afeni Shakur, the mother of 2Pac, at the 1999 MTV Video Music Awards.
Smith also called Biggie's debut album, Ready to Die, an "album that should be used in psychology classes."
