Watch the Dark, Moody Visual for Clipse and Kendrick Lamar's "Chains & Whips"

The track appears on 'Let God Sort Em Out,' Clipse's first album in over 15 years.

Clipse delivers a dark, moody interpretation of their Kendrick Lamar collaboration "Chains & Whips" in the song's music video.

Just days after releasing their first album in over fifteen years, Clipse dropped the music video for their Pharrell Williams-produced track. Although Kendrick is absent from the visual, directed by Gabriel Moses, his voice is louder than ever, with his and Pusha T's verses reflected in the video's raw imagery. In the nearly five- minute video, there's heavy American flag usage, distorted figures, and an intense police chase that lands one hapless man in prison.

The sibling rap duo appears on the July cover of Complex, where they spoke to Williams about their new album and nabbing K.Dot for "Chains & Whips."

"It's nothing like being able to leave your song with a person and they totally, totally deliver," Pusha said. "He's one of those people that you can send it and turn your back and know when it comes back, it's going to be everything that it's supposed to be."

On the song, Kendrick gives a shoutout to rap pioneer Rakim with his line, "Let’s be clear, hip-hop died again / Half of my profits may go to Rakim." The "I Ain't No Joke" rhymer took notice of the reference and saluted the 17-time Grammy winner on Instagram over the weekend.

ComplexCon returns to Las Vegas on October 25–26, 2025, with over 300 brands and live performances by Young Thug, YEAT & Friends, Peso Pluma, Central Cee, Ken Carson, and more. Get your tickets now.
