Female rap legend Trina bigged up GloRilla in a new chat with TMZ this week.

Posted on Wednesday (Oct. 15), hours before the BET Hip-Hop Awards 2024 telecast (where Trina and Big Glo performed), TMZ's Charles Latibeaudier and Dax Holt spoke to the "Pull Over" rapper about her female hip-hop forecast.

"It's so many women now that's in the industry, they're really doing their thing," Trina said. "You've got to give it up to them. They're charting the charts they're putting out dope records, dope albums, projects, collaborations, so it's actually a great thing to see. I'm loving the energy."

On the decrease in female rap beefs, Trina said that it was "very pick and choose" among women rappers when she was coming up.

"Now you have hundreds of girls that are doing their thing right now, so everybody I feel is just enjoying the collaboration and the working together, the features, and watching the unity as it evolves," she continued.

When Latibeaudier asked Trina to choose a current female rapper that impresses her most, the 45-year-old didn't hesitate to pick follow Southern artist Glo.

"It's so many. I would definitely say GloRilla," Trina said. "I would go with Glo because she's definitely done an amazing job. She's on her second album, she's been consistent, she just came off the tour with Meg and she's really just making her–she's just standing on business."

She concluded, "And she's just constantly doing her thing, constantly putting out records features, collaborating with other people and artists. I would definitely say she made a big impact."

Glo's impact has been recognized this year, as the Memphis rapper's debut, Glorious, is predicted to sell 60,000 the first week. The "TGIF" artist also received a Key to the City of Memphis last month before her first MTV Video Music Awards performance.

Earlier this month, Trina released her memoir, Da Baddest, and during the 2024 BET Hip-Hop Awards, she performed a medley alongside Yung Miami.
