The Game dedicated a message to Los Angeles' Latino community as anti-ICE demonstrations continue to rage across the city.
On Monday (June 9), the rapper posted an Instagram carousel with black and white pictures of citywide protests, which ignited over the weekend, with a caption that showed solidarity with residents fighting against deportation.
"Ever since I could remember… it’s been black & brown in this city," The Game began. "From the early days of my childhood til now, we’ve been side by side through it all. All of us. All the time. Not always seeing eye to eye but we’ve shared Los Angeles for a very long time."
He continued, "I stand with y’all like I know you’d stand with us. We might fight against each other… but I promise you this.. we’ll burn this b!%?! Down get us pissed !!!!!"
"To live & die in L.A. 🇲🇽✊🏾," he concluded.
The L.A. protests have seen widespread clashes between protesters and law enforcement, with President Donald Trump ordering a deployment of 2,000 National Guards to L.A. Deportation attempts have also impacted notable names, like TikToker Khaby Lame, who was detained by ICE while in Las Vegas. At the scene of protests, violence has erupted, as experienced by musician FINNEAS and Australian reporter Lauren Tomasi, who was hit with a rubber bullet while on the ground.
