Sexyy Red thought back to the peak of Black Friday shopping ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday.

While probably preparing to spend Thanksgiving with her family, the "Hoochie Coochie" rapper tweeted fond memories about how Black Friday used to be. As shoppers mainly wait for online deals on post-Thanksgiving and Cyber Monday, the St. Louis artist remembered shopping in person at major chain retailers.

"Do Black Friday even have deals anymore or they just lying about da price being a discount fr?" Sexyy tweeted on Wednesdsay (November 19).

"Mfs use to camp outside Walmart fa Black Friday now we don’t even care no mo #Noticing."

Reactions to Sexyy's tweet varied, with one person explaining that "adulthood changed everything" for those who shopped during Black Friday in their youth. Another person replied that deals aren't "hitting the same" as they used to.

Sexyy also got into the Black Friday spirit by posting a video of a mall flash mob dancing to her music.

Sexyy probably found pre-holiday swag at last month's ComplexCon 2025 in Las Vegas, where she walked the marketplace floor and was a special guest during Yeat's set.
