Mustard Calls Drake the 'Malcolm X of White People,' Targets Akademiks and Gordo in Rant About 18K Album Sales

Mustard delivered a Ye-level rant on X following the release of his fourth album, Faith of a Mustard Seed. In it, the West Coast producer and DJ targeted Drake and Akademiks, blaming them for the excessive focus hip-hop fans place on album sales.

Since Mustard produced Kendrick Lamar's massive single and Drake-aimed diss track "Not Like Us," it's understandable that he might've felt attacked by OVO loyalists. Shortly after celebrating a projected 18,000 first-week units of his new album, Mustard was mocked in his X replies, to which he responded by alleging that it was the work of Drake’s "bots."

"Album sales are a form of white supremacy. You n****s racist," Mustard wrote in one post. The Grammy Award-winning producer blamed Drizzy for the responses, including some who joked that Mustard's album wasn't enough to bring West Coast rap back to the mainstream.

But Mustard rejected accusations that he was "mad," claiming to be at his son's basketball game, where he had time to "fade some bots."

"I'm still grateful," he continued, "a bot could never make me ungrateful lol fuck yall thought?!"

Toward the end of his rant, Mustard fired off more insults at Drake, calling him "the Malcolm X of white people." He also threw Akademiks and DJ/producer Gordo into the mix, telling Ak to reveal Gordo’s first-week sales "since Drake thought he did a thing with making him drop on the same day as me."

Drake appears on two songs, "Sideways" and "Healing," from Gordo's new album Diamante. While Mustard still seems in the mood to feud, last month Gordo told People that Drizzy's been "happier" since his beef with Kendrick Lamar.

"The thing is that he was just on the longest tour ever [It’s All A Blur Tour – Big As The What?]. He literally did a tour for like a year. I think he's just chilling," Gordo told the publication.
