Lil Baby lost so much during a one-day gambling streak that his friend, Michael Rubin, had to intervene.

To promote his upcoming fourth album, WHAM (Who Hard as Me), the Atlanta rapper appeared on the latest episode of Lil Yachty's A Safe Place Podcast, where towards the end, Baby was asked miscellaneous questions. Around the 1:21:00 mark below, Yachty asked Lil Baby how much he'd ever spent gambling, and the number was astronomical: $8 million.

"One day, probably [in] like, 40 hours," the rapper confessed. "40 hours straight, I lost like, $8 million, $9 million. I made myself stop gambling. I had Mike Ruben write a letter to every casino and ban me from the casino, 'cause I just do shit."

Lil Baby added that he doesn't gamble anymore, but earlier in the conversation, he spoke about misconceptions about he and Rubin's friendship after pictures of the two play fighting and hugging went viral last year.

"Bruh, “I don’t play with n***as, period," Baby told Yachty around the 45-minute mark of the podcast. "On no funny weird shit. … Mike happy to see me, he run up on me. I got 10 other pictures. I’m telling his ass, Mike, I’ll slam your ass on your neck. I’ll break your neck in this bitch. … But we play like that."

In a 2022 episode of 360 With Speedy, Baby shared that he lost $600,000 in one night while gambling with Drake in the Bahamas, which was also the first time he met Rubin.
