Katy Perry almost took a dive during the San Francisco stop of her Lifetimes Tour.

The pop singer was performing "Roar" on a dangling butterfly prop at the Chase Center on Friday night (July 18) when it nearly fell onto the audience. Perry braced herself during the scary moment and placed her hands on the head of the prop before looking up at the crane. While the butterfly continued swinging slowly across the arena, Perry cautiously resumed the song.

The moment was one of many mortifying tour experiences for the 143 vocalist as of late. Another came when fans requested that she perform breakup song "The One That Got Away" during a recent show, just weeks after her high-profile split with actor Orlando Bloom after nine years of dating. The exes share a 4-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove.

Before embarking on her latest tour, Perry claimed in that she's been treated like a "human piñata" on social media.

"I take it with grace and send them love, cause I know so many people are hurting in so many ways and the internet is very much so a dumping ground for unhinged and unhealed," she wrote on Instagram in March.
